Visit of the Confirmands from Friedberg – Katholische Afrikanische Gemeinde Augsburg

On Sunday January 15th and 22nd confirmands from the PG Staetzling visited the Sunday holy mass of the Catholic African Community.

Before the beginning of the holy mass, Natacha Bamy from the African community rehearsed rhythmic chants and songs with the young people.

The first mass was celebrated by Father Gerhard Groll, alternating between English and German. The second mass was hold by Chaplain Dr. Hilary Ubah.

After the holy masses the young people had the opportunity to a personal exchange with the members of the African community with tea and cookies.

For the confirmands it was a very interesting experience to see and feel how Sunday Mass is celebrated in another culture.
